At some point, someone told you: "You're too good — people will walk all over you." Maybe a friend, maybe your mother, maybe your own voice while staring in the mirror. And every time you heard it, being kind felt a little more like a weakness.

But what if it isn't?

Why Does Kindness Look Dangerous?

Because you pay for it. You struggle to set boundaries, you can't say no, you carry other people's pain as if it were your own. And the world watches and says: "See? Told you so."

But look at the people who hardened. Built walls, let no one in. Are they winning? Maybe short term. But long term, all they've gained is thicker walls. They become someone who can't love freely, can't be surprised, can't even receive a stranger's smile without suspicion.

The pure-hearted person still loves. Still gets surprised by small things. That's not naivety — that's a skill most people have quietly lost.

What Does Winning Actually Mean?
